Wawanesa actively gives back to organizations that strengthen communities where it operates, donating well above internationally recognized benchmarks for excellence in corporate philanthropy.We are currently looking for dedicated, driven, and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in an environment that welcomes change and are looking for an opportunity for diverse experience, advancement on a growing team.Job OverviewThe Inside Claims Representative I contributes to Wawanesa’s goal of delivering an exceptional and consistent claims experience through the fair and equitable adjustment of small to moderate auto and/or property claims by means of telephone and written correspondence.LocationPosition is open to working remote in California, Colorado, Nevada or TexasScheduleMonday Friday 11:30am 8:00pm PST and Saturdays 8:00am 4:30pm PSTSplit days off, including Sundays and one weekday (TBD)Job ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer serviceInterpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage and ensure appropriate reservingEvaluate relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third party adjusters, contractors and repair facilities in order to quantify lossesCoordinate services with vendors and service providersAdjust claims from inception to completion in a proactive mannerMaintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims systemPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEffective customer service skills demonstrating empathy and concern for customer satisfactionGood communication skills, both written and oralGood investigative and analytical skillsGood time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environmentDetail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entryGood negotiation skillsCollege/University degree is preferredWawanesa General Insurance Company is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse workforce.
