Banner Health is looking for a Registered Nurse Operations Support Specialist (ROSS) to work in beautiful Northern Colorado.

The ROSS is based in Northern Colorado and will support inpatient and critical care at McKee Medical Center in Loveland and Banner Ft.

Collins in Ft.

Collins.

The ROSS will roatate between both faciltiies during the week, primarily focused onboarding new staff and ongoing education for the service line.

In addition, this team member will help meet initiatives, and implementation of new initiatives.

McKee Medical Center is a 132-bed, acute-care hospital in Loveland, Colo., a vibrant arts community located 40 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.

Our hospital offers an array of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, obstetrical, pediatric, orthopedic, surgical, heart, cancer, and critical care.

The McKee Cancer Center and McKee Breast Center are among Northern Colorado’s leading cancer diagnosis and treatment facilities.

McKee is also a Level III trauma center.

We are the only hospital in the Rocky Mountain region to be designated an Epicenter for robotic-assisted gynecological surgery by Intuitive Surgical, the manufacturer of the daVinci surgical robot.

Our physicians, nurses and other health care professionals can train on state-of-the-art computerized patient simulation mannequins in our simulation center.

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for supporting nurse leadership in the planning, development and execution of facility education for clinicians, supporting the on-boarding and orientation of newly hired registered nurses, career development and effective internal clinical communications.

This role performs under the guidance and direction of the chief nursing officer or designee and serves as a liaison between all disciplines by effectively communicating, educating and problem solving.

This position proactively supports the quality and continuity of services throughout the healthcare systems and assists in resolution of systems issues and enforces facility/unit/department policy/procedures and standards of care.

This position coordinates oversight of quality, risk management, safety and nursing standards and is a role model and resource person for providing quality patient care and maintaining clinical competency within the facility/unit/department; collaborates with Clinical Education to coordinate and support the on-boarding and precepting of newly hired nurses (this includes supporting programs and communication within the facility); develops and coordinates system and facility initiatives to promote clinical career development and lateral nurse pathways and may lead and implement facility clinical initiatives.

This position contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, safe care; and actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes, such activities may include participating in professional organizations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must possess knowledge of healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a Associates degree.

Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.

BLS certification is required.

Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Requires a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Minimal experience, typically gained through 0-2 years relevant experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree is nursing preferred.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
