General Production Support

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tends machines that shred and/or compresses and binds paper by-products generated from the carton lines.
  • Threads tie bands around bale and twists or clamps ends of bands to tighten bands.
  • Opens compression chamber doors and removes bale from machine.
  • Uses pallet jack to move bales to storage location.
  • Completes daily mobile equipment check sheet.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the baling machinery and remove obstructions in the cyclone as needed.
  • Resorts ware at the end of a lehr.
  • Dumps scrap loads of glass containers onto conveyor belt.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities:

  • Follows all department and plant SOPs and policies
  • Cleans work area as part of Good Manufacturing Requirements
  • Maintains proper reports as required

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • One year of forklift driving experienced is preferred
  • Able to successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
  • Able to work in a safe manner
  • Able to work in a team environment
