Position Summary The purpose of this Stadium Maintenance Coordinator position is to provide oversight of the Canvas Stadium facility and its mechanical, plumbing, and/or electrical systems in a safe and efficient manner.

This position will provide journey-level maintenance expertise for the building structure; identify the need for repair and/or replacement of building systems/ components, and coordinate/oversee projects and services for the facility safely and efficiently.

Additionally, the Stadium Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for providing routine preventative maintenance as well as the documentation for record-keeping and planning ongoing maintenance projects.

This position will resolve challenges related to equipment, staffing, emergent repairs, supply inventory, replacement parts, and tools in order to accomplish the Canvas Stadium mission.

Minimum Qualifications Four years of progressively responsible building maintenance experience of which included minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or carpentry responsibilities.

Substitutions Preferred Qualifications The highly desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, personal characteristics, and experience directly related and critical to this position:+ Applicable licensure/certifications – journeyman plumbing, journeyman electrical, CPO, HVAC, etc.+ Well-rounded understanding of a variety of trade operations (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, general carpentry, etc.)+ Demonstrated ability to plan, perform and implement preventative, routine, and on-going maintenance programs.+ Knowledge and ability to determine the most efficient, cost-effective approach to maintenance issues, including knowledge of the parts and tools needed.+ Experience working with and maintaining hydrotherapy pools.+ Ability to efficiently coordinate internal and external staff, partners, and vendors.+ Mechanical thinking and abilities.+ Ability to run reports and provide valuable input during budget development discussions.+ Communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to document and maintain accurate maintenance and general records.+ Prioritization and organizational skills.+ Honesty and integrity.+ Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the knowledge of when to escalate an issue to another trade area or outside vendor.+ Ability to maintain composure when working under pressure.+ Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship building/customer service skills.+ Detailed with work products and tasks.+ Safe working practices.Essential Job Duties Job Duty Category Preventive and Ongoing Maintenance Duty/Responsibility + Perform repairs and general maintenance as a fully operational journey-level skilled trades staff for the multipurpose stadium.+ Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems by inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, changing filters and cooler media, changing/adjusting belts on equipment, pumps, HVAC supply and return air handling units, unit heaters, fan, coil units, circulation pumps, piping systems, Hydro Therapy pool mechanical systems other mechanical devices and related electronic interfaces.+ Minor mechanical maintenance and repair tasks in exhaust fans, supply fans, unit ventilators, fan colt units, unit heaters, furnaces, water heaters, fractional circulation pumps, zone valves, and room/apartment controls.+ Minor electrical maintenance tasks for light fixtures, receptacles, switches, kitchen exhaust fans, bathroom exhaust fans, food service equipment, refrigerators, and smoke detector.+ Inspect and maintains building plumbing supply, waste, circulation lines, Hydro Therapy pools, and related components.+ Repair drywall, painted surfaces, hard surface materials, various floor coverings, suspended ceiling systems, roofing systems, windows, doors, furniture, and other general carpentry/maintenance related tasks.+ Adjust and install a variety of building hardware.+ Move, transport, and stock materials and tools necessary for the completion of tasks.+ Maintains tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials in a professional manner to promote safe and efficient completion of tasks.+ Provides after-hours response support.+ Access all spaces in Canvas Stadium and outside facility areas, which includes climbing ladders, entering crawl spaces, and uses scaffolding in the performance of duties.

Percentage Of Time 45 Job Duty Category Inspection and Reporting Duty/Responsibility + Perform and document inspections, test results, and work completed using Facilities Management approved Integrated Workplace Management System.+ Prepare quarterly reports and formalizes requests for funding for current and future system maintenance and improvements.+ Prioritize future work necessary and prepare schedules for preventative maintenance; maintain an adequate inventory of critical parts and chemicals for HVAC, Hydro Therapy pool Area, and all other building functions; track parts and chemicals; coordinates input of new equipment and deletion of old equipment using a variety of database computer software programs.

Percentage Of Time 20 Job Duty Category Subcontractor Outsourcing Duty/Responsibility + Coordinate and assist the work of Facilities Management staff and University approved subcontractors to provide mechanical related services when outsource contracting is necessary due to expertise or internal labor shortages.+ Prepare plans and specifications, assist Associate Athletic Director for Facilities & Canvas Stadium in coordinating purchasing documents, follows projects through to completion and recommends approval for payment on small projects.

Percentage Of Time 15 Job Duty Category Project Management Duty/Responsibility + Coordinate and participate in meetings, inspections with Associate Athletic Director for Facilities & Canvas Stadium with respect to projects, scheduled maintenance, and job assignments.+ Process maintenance requests and provide follow up.+ Participate in staff training and development in the maintenance area to support department goals.

Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duty Category Budget Management Duty/Responsibility + Assist the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities & Canvas Stadium to develop and track budget for the maintenance area.+ Recommend changes to the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities & Canvas Stadium during annual budget development.

Percentage Of Time 5 Job Duty Category On Call Response Duty/Responsibility + Respond to HVAC and all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and Hydro Therapy pool related emergencies during the course of normal daily work schedule and after-hours.+ Performs other duties as assigned.
