Senior Electrical Engineer

Based in our Boulder, Colorado location, you will be responsible for research and development of new and improving existing Ultrasonic electronic designs. Perform as lead individual contributor in key technology areas, advancing the state of the art in Ultrasonic flow measurement. AS A SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, YOU WILL:Design, direct, coordinate, and participate in the technical activities of electronic research and development.Instruct and assist designing circuit board layouts.Leads various engineering projects by supervising the construction and testing of prototype models and components, quality checkouts, etc.Formulates test plans and conducts and/or coordinates testing.Complete documentation of test plans, data, results, and conclusions in formal test report.Coordinate with approvals, offshore resources, and suppliers to ensure compliance with hazardous area safety, environmental, and other market requirements and certificates.Ensure the documentation of all significant design criteria.Support manufacturing and supply chain during the introduction of new products.Communicate effectively with operations personnel, supply chain personnel, and/or customers to obtain feedback on products.Determine the need for outside consultants in specialty areas and make appropriate recommendations to the engineering director.Serve in a mentor role in developing less experienced engineers.Pursue patents, application notes, conference presentations, and other forms of external publications.WHO YOU ARE:You experiment with a wide range of existing technologies while applying new and emerging options that can enhance organizational outcomes. You maintain a positive attitude and forward-thinking approach despite troubling circumstances or setbacks.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, technical degree or equivalent.8+ years relevant engineering experience.An excellent working knowledge of advanced engineering principles and techniques, and the ability to solve unprecedented problems, as well as organize and administer actions to develop electronicsAble to travel up to 10% to meet business needs.Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Demonstrated track record of significant contributions to the advancement of Ultrasonic and/or other flow measurement technologies.Experience in hazardous area safety approvals; UL, ATEX, CSA, IECEX.Experience in complying to FCC and CE requirements.Proficient in 3D CAD tools.Proficient in programming knowledge; Scripting, C, Visual Basic, LabView, etc.From idea generation to release to market, successfully acted as the lead engineer for new product technical research and development activities.Experienced in advanced laboratory test equipment.Experience in DSP circuitry, FPGA devices, and/or digital signal processingOur compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary range for this role is $92,800 $172,100 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.Flexible Work Schedule – Hybrid Work OptionThis role has the flexibility of a hybrid work option up to three days a week.
