Fulltime 40 Hours a Week DaysThis position is eligible for a $10,000 Sign On Bonus!!Open to hire EP or Cath LabMonday-Friday with Call; 4 x 10 hours shifts or 5 x 8 hour shiftsRN’s that have scrub experience can applyOncall Pay $6.00/hr.

Come join us and be a part of an independent, community-focused health system and feel good knowing that your work will make a difference in people’s lives and be a positive contribution to the community.POSITION SUMMARYProvide direct patient care and assist physicians in performing invasive and specialized cardiac procedures within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and/or Electrophysiology Laboratory.

Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to manage patient care in a competent manner as outlined below.

Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality care in the procedural area.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or Formal TrainingSpecial Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)1.

ARRT and/or RCIS licensure in good standing.2.

BLS required within the conditional period3.

ACLS required within the conditional period4.

RCES and/or CEPS preferred for EPExperienceMinimum of one year experience in an Acute Care setting required and one year Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology Lab experience preferred.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPatient Care1.

Provide patient care in conformance with current recognized practice, procedures, policies and established standards of care.2.

Enhance the quality and timeliness of patient care by working cooperatively with other personnel3.

Review all pre-procedural tests to assure patient safety.

Incomplete or unusual findings are reported to cardiologist and documented prior to procedure.4.

Monitor patient conditions continuously for immediate recognition, interpretation and management.5.

Provide post procedural care and maintenance of arterial and/or venous hemostasis until patient is transferred to the next level of care.6.

Assist in recovery patient per hospital policy.7.

Calibrate, adjust, maintain and operate equipment as necessary to ensure the safe and accurate administration of tests and procedures.

Monitor equipment and report any malfunction8.

Responsible for keeping all licenses and certifications up to date.9.

Stay informed of all new equipment brought in the Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology Lab and take responsibility for letting supervisor know if additional training or education needed.10.

Responsible for covering after hours on call shifts as necessary, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays..

Must be able to meet Restricted On Call response time as defined by the hospital.11.

Responsible for communicating schedule and flow updates with supervisor and team.12.

Responsible for stocking and notifying appropriate staff if items need to be re-ordered.WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES1.

Labs operate Monday through Friday with variable end times, dependent upon patient acuity.

After hours, weekends and holiday coverage provided by Restricted Call Team.2.

Physical working environment exposures may include, but not limited to any of the following: chemical, electrical, mechanical, radiation, medical gases, body fluids, biowaste, stress and back strain.3.

Must be able to frequently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 30 pounds, and occasionally support, push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds (for example, moving a patient from a wheelchair to a table, or transferring from a table to a bed); stand for long periods of time and twist.4.

Must be able to transport patients and/or specimens and any accompanying equipment to the appropriate department.5.

Functional physical demands include manual dexterity, fine motor skills and reaching, related to wire handling skills and catheter exchanges, etc.6.

The following senses will be needed for essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, and touch.7.
