Full Time, Days.Pay range is between $41.21-$61.81/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience.Boulder Community Health is a Certified Level II Trauma Center.

Come be part of an independent, community-focused health system; feel good knowing that your work will make a difference in people’s lives and positively contribute to the community.POSITION SUMMARYAccountable for the medical-administrative aspects of the medical staff organization; serves as an essential link between senior management and the medical staff to promote and enhance good communications and a positive working relationship.

Responsible for establishing, contributing to and maintaining continuity in the planning, development and implementation of standards applicable to the medical staff members relating to credentialing, quality, continuing medical education, medical library and administrative functions.

Responsible for medical staff preparation, documentation, and organization and follow-up involved in maintaining hospital accreditation and licensure with the Joint Commission and Department of Health Services.Continually identify, monitor and implement key measures and processes that are intended to improve/enhance quality and fiscal responsibility at the hospital and at the department level.

These include but are not limited to: supervision of employees, budget preparation, financial analysis, continuous quality improvement, performance process improvement, medical staff education and strategic planning.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation or Formal TrainingBachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration or health related field.Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)NAMSS certified in Medical Services Professional required (CPMSM or CPCS).Knowledge, Skill and AbilityEffective organizational and personal communication skills including written, verbal, attitudinal and persuasion skills.Functions independently with initiative, creativity and effective analytical problem-solving.Uses tact, discretion and objectivity in dealing with confidential and highly emotional situations.Is flexible, detailed orientated and patient.Demonstrates capacity for motivating, facilitating, developing and leading people.Ability to work under pressure with perseverance and fortitude.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, e.G., Excel, PowerPoint, Word.Knowledge of medico-legal issues and regulatory agency requirement and standards.ExperienceMinimum of five years management experience in health care related area.WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESMust be able to commute between BCH campuses.SUPERVISORY DUTIESDirects the medical staff department in the areas of medical staff organization, credentialing, privileging, and physician quality management, continuing medical education, the medical library and meeting all regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESOversees and manages the medical staff credentialing activities for Boulder Community Health (BCH) to include the delegated credentialing functions for the Boulder Surgery Center and the Foothills Surgery Center and other joint ventures that may be assigned.Manages the data and online privileging systems insuring quality data management..

.Ensures compliance with the accrediting and regulatory agencies with respect to Medical Staff functions including Joint Commission, CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies).Assures confidentiality of medical staff activities as they relate to peer review, quality assurance and medico-legal issues.Educates and directs medical staff officers, committee chairmen and members, other healthcare professionals, and the staff of the Medical Staff Department (MSD) in the development of mechanisms to assess physician performance, identify potential risks and take disciplinary action when appropriateAbout Boulder Community Health and Boulder, ColoradoUncompromising medical excellence delivered with respect and compassion.
