Part Time, Days.

16 hours/weekPay range is between $32.46-$42.78/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience.

There is an additional $2.50/hr for working weekend shifts.Boulder Community Health is a Certified Level II Trauma Center.

Occupational therapy services include the following: assessment of patient level of function/needs assessment, development of treatment programs, provision of treatment and education of the patient, family and caregivers as related to daily living skills, physical/cognitive functions and perception.

Diagnostic and treatment services must adhere to the AOTA Code of Ethics and the Standards of Care of this institution.

Must promote interdepartmental and intradepartmental teamwork, establish and maintain effective communication with patients, families and rehabilitation team members and work professionally with physicians and the community.

Responsible for maintaining departmental standards for productivity.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation Or Formal TrainingSpecial QualificationsCurrent registration as an OT with the State of ColoradoBLS certification required by the end of conditional periodKnowledge, Skill And AbilityKnowledge, skill and ability to apply occupational therapy treatment, procedures and standards to clinical practice.ExperienceExperience in an inpatient rehabilitation environment with an interdisciplinary team is preferred.WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESWorking Conditions:1.

Hours may include holidays, weekends and/or extended hours depending on job necessity.Physical Activities:Physical activities include fine motor dexterity, auditory and visual acuity, adequate eye-hand coordination and adequate physical strength of both upper and lower extremities.The following abilities/ senses will be needed for essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, smell and touch.Position requires considerable standing, hand strength and endurance, lifting, walking, reaching, bending and sitting.The employee must be able to consistently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 10 pounds, frequently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally support, push, pull and/or transfer up to 50 pounds (for example, moving a patient from a wheelchair to a bed).Must be capable of transferring patients, have good functional communication skills, visual and auditory acuity to complete written tasks and manual dexterity to write.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluative skills: selects appropriate tests and measures to determine goals and problems, course of treatment and appropriate therapeutic interventions.Assessment skills: identifies problem list/ assessment results, evaluates patient response to treatment and revises plan of care as indicated.Planning skills: formulates and maintains an individualized treatment plan based on functional long and short-term goals.Implementation skills: provides treatment using appropriate techniques and tools.Promotes effective communication and teamwork.Reports and documents evaluations, plans, treatment techniques, assessment and patient progress.Initiates and is responsible for problem-solving and decision-making regarding patient care.Functions as an advocate for the patient within the rehabilitation system.
