If you have the skills below as an EE Controls Engineer, we’d like to hear from you ASAP.The Engineer will be responsible for guaranteeing the department’s distributed control system (DCS) maintains high levels of availability and for ensuring the manufacturing processes managed by that system have optimal control.Position Responsibilities:1.

Implement strategies to assure the high availability of the department’s distributed control and data historian systems.2.

Optimize tuning and control strategy with the objective to minimize process variability and consequently maximize machine availability and quality performance while minimizing waste.3.

Continually improve the machine alarm strategy to minimize reaction time in case of process abnormalities; 4.

Developand implement control strategy for new installations; 5.

Design and implement industrial automation including PLC (programmable logic controller) programming, implementation of industrial networks and selection of field devices.6.

Troubleshoot production problems affecting quality, waste or machine availability and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.7.

Provide technical support off-hour on an as needed basis, to a 24/7 manufacturing operation.8.

Support operations:a.

Provide training to increase overall knowledge about the process; b.

Identify opportunities to simplify operational procedures (through poke yoke and automation for example) and therefore reduce variability in the outcomes of the operational interventions; c.

Suggestprocedure changes to improve safety, process performance and product conformance.9.

Coach maintenance Mechanics on best way to address problems in his area of responsibility.10.

Propose, prioritize and lead improvement projects, assessing and documenting the risk associated with the changes; 11.

Lead validation of process and equipment changes to assure product quality.Required Skills & Education:1.

Minimum education level: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.2.

5 years of experience working with distributed control systems (Fischer-Provo, Honeywell TDC, ABB or Westinghouse WDPF/Ovation); 3.

Strong background in analog process control, continuous process control system, analog instrumentation and HMI interface design.4.

Experience with process communication protocols (DH+, CIP, Modbus RTU, Modbuss TCPIP and OPC).4.

Strong MS Excel knowledge; 5.

Abilityto work independently or as a member of a team.6.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.7.

Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.8.

High initiative and outstanding sense of urgency, compatible with a manufacturing environment.Desired Skills:1.

Project management experience; 2.

OSI PI experience; 3.

This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado.

This range and benefits may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
