To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the Human Resources Manager and the Plant Leadership team in all facets of human resources; including but not limited to; recruiting, policy implementation, reporting of information, employee relations, employee development.Recruits, interviews and selects hourly employees to fill vacant positionsLeads new hire orientationConducts administrative work in processing of biweekly payrollInvestigates hourly employee relations matters and follows up with employees and supervisors regarding next steps and best practices to be followedAssists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and proceduresManages employee relations issues with HR Manager guidance to affect prompt resolutionsMaintains employee records, such as hires, promotions, performance reviews, disciplinary actionsPrepares employee separation notices and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations; partners with supervisors and managers to improve climate based upon feedbackTracks FMLA through a third party systemCounsels hourly employees to resolve personal or company related problems which affect their performanceProvides employees with up to date benefit and other information; utilizing the company monitors and emailTrains employees on the self service modelActs as a business partner to the plant supervisory staff, working with them to ensure a positive culture is maintained on the plant floor Qualifications: BS in Human Resources, Labor relations or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experiencePHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred3 years Human Resources Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and complete multiple tasks simultaneouslyProficient with MS Office Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentialityMust exhibit the characteristics of a positive role model, action oriented, continuous improvement mindset
