Azure Cloud Engineer


This is a Contract position in Boulder, CO posted September 8, 2021.

Overview: As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be on the forefront of our customer’s transformation to cloud-based architectures.

The Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for the implementation of efficient environments and services for cloud base workloads.

This is a technical customer-facing role that will be accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud implementation and deployment experience.

You will improve your abilities to think creatively, design solutions, and interact with customers.

You will also hone your technical, management and consulting skills by participating in large projects and benefiting from the vast knowledge of your teammates.

Experience: Migrating, Developing, Automating environments and landing zones on the Azure platform often in a DevOps model.

The candidate should have one or more explicit specialties related to Azure IaaS services but also requires a broad understanding across most if not all Azure IaaS capabilities.

Core Azure Skill Requirements: VMWare, Windows and/or Linux OS, Azure Storage, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, Azure Virtual machines, Azure Monitor, Azure Active Directory Identity & Access Management, Azure App Service Environments, Azure PowerShell/CLI, ARM Templates, Terraform HCL Qualifications: Strong foundation of knowledge around Azure cloud services and the cloud ecosystem Strong communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to customers Working knowledge of Azure services IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS Experience with design/implementation/consulting experience of Azure IaaS Experience and ability to engineer complete landing zones in Azure.

Working directly with architects and developers to create supportable designs and debug problems Developing cloud infrastructure designs and implementations and guiding the process from development to operations Making decisions on problem resolutions in critical down time situations when escalation is impractical Creating and delivering knowledge sharing presentations and documentation to developers and operations teams (Document system diagrams, run books, and procedures, etc.) Attending and contributing to technical discussions and working groups with various stakeholders Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through Strong problem-solving and analytical skills leveraging all available resources Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field.
