Backend Software Engineer

At Anark, the available Backend Software Engineer, Cloud position is one where you would be responsible for the development of critical server-side software frameworks and client-side features associated with the Anark Core products.

As our Backend Software Engineer, you would work with a team of motivated engineers to plan software releases that adhere to customer requirements within business-acceptable timeframes.

The ideal candidate will be an expert at developing highly scalable web applications utilizing MERN stack.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience creating a robust backend using Node.js, ExpressJS, MongoDB, and associated modules
• Experience creating RESTful-based web services
• Experience in web development using ReactJS or Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap

Skills That Are Good To Have (Any Combination):

• Proficiency in Redis or other fast caching systems
• Proficiency with NGINX or other high-performance HTTP servers
• Exposure to JavaScript testing framework like Mocha
• Experience with continuous integration and version control
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
• Experience in RabbitMQ or other messaging platforms
• Responsive web design experience
• Experience with TypeScript

Soft Skills:

• Capable of managing multiple, concurrent deliverables on aggressive delivery schedules with a conscientious work ethic
• Strong technical and communication skills—capable of garnering the respect of team members and associates within the company

Required Education:

• BS in Computer Science or similar
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
