CSU Extended Campus offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate degrees and 35 for-credit certificate programs, delivered online and at locations across Colorado, as well as hundreds of professional education noncredit courses, digital badge programs, and open lifelong learning courses.CSU Extended Campus is a center of innovation at the university, supporting not only the development of online and distance courses and programs, but also the enhancement of campus instruction.

CSU Extended Campus has a staff of over 80 professionals delivering educational programs and services through CSU Online, Professional Education (non-credit programs), Collaboration Campuses, and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

Key teams include Strategy and Program Development, Marketing and Enrollment, Operations, and Learning Development.

CSU Extended Campus collaborates closely with the colleges, departments, and divisions across the university, with other universities in the CSU System, and with government, business, non-profit organizations as well as other educational institutions.The Office of Engagement and Extension ( OEE ) was organized in 2006 to advance CSU’s engagement and outreach missions.

In addition to CSU Extended Campus, OEE includes CSU Extension (including Colorado 4-H), the Colorado Water Center, and a variety of vibrant programs that engage the teaching, research, extension, and service missions of Colorado State University.

The Vice President for Engagement and Extension ( VPEE ) is the principal administrative, academic, and fiscal officer for these divisions, reports to the CSU President, and works closely with the Provost/Executive Vice President.

These divisions work collaboratively across all Colleges and offices on campus, and have strong engagement programs throughout Colorado, the Western US and globally.

At any given time, OEE’s divisions include over 400 employees.

The total of budgets for all divisions is approximately $70 million.

Colorado State University is located 60 miles north of Denver in the beautiful city of Fort Collins.Position SummaryColorado State University Online (Department of Continuing Education) is seeking a Course Developer to work collaboratively with Instructional Designers and instructors to build online courses that improve student learning and follow best practice guidelines.This full-time position will involve:1.

Working in collaboration with Instructional Designers, instructors and subject-matter experts to design and develop course curricula and instructional materials;2.

Complete tasks assigned to build and develop materials in the LMS course shells;3.

Supporting the professional development of faculty, adjuncts, subject matter experts, graduate teaching assistants, professional staff, and subject matter experts through consultation and training.The successful candidate will possess an in-depth and current understanding of instructional issues related to teaching and learning in blended and online courses, as well as experience using a wide range of hardware and software tools to develop instructional materials.The Course Developer will report to the Senior Instructional Designer at CSU Online and will join a team that works collaboratively to support the teaching and learning mission of the University.

This position may operate as an on-site (Fort Collins, Colorado) or a remote position.Required Job QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in educational technology, instructional design, education, or closely related fieldExperience developing instructional materials for learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Sakai, Moodle, and/or Canvas).
