DevOps Engineer


This is a Full-time position in Fort Collins, CO posted September 22, 2021.


Managed Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support our software development projects. MBS seeks to provide excellent customer service for our clients which includes creating high quality, seamless, development and operations flow. The DevOps Engineer will deploy product and system updates, identify production issues, and implement integrations that meet our customers’ needs.  Colorado / Wyoming candidates preferred; software engineering background preferred, ideally using .NET technology, as well as and understanding of microservices and containerization technologies. This is a telecommuting (virtual) role and requires a US Citizenship.


  • Create and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines using Azure, Jenkins, and other tools
  • Investigate and troubleshoot environment and CI/CD pipeline issues
  • Automate system monitoring and security scanning
  • Perform load testing for various systems
  • Create environments, automate deployments and patches for development, testing, and production
  • Provide level 2 technical support for system environment, server, and network issues
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and systems engineers regarding automation, security, and other issues
  • Maintain and update documentation for environment and processes for both technical and non-technical users
  • Suggest and explore new tools to improve processes


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field strongly preferred along with demonstrated professional experience
  • Must be a US citizen to be considered
  • 3+ years of experience as DevOps / DevSecOps engineer
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, Git Actions / Workflow, Jenkins or similar technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with software applications in production environments
  • Demonstrated experience using Jira or similar software systems to manage tasks and workloads
  • Demonstrated experience automating K6, Artillery, NeoLoad or other load testing and monitoring software
  • Demonstrated experience using reporting and monitoring tools such as Splunk, WhatsUpGold, New Relic, Prometheus, Elk or similar software
  • Demonstrated experience with security scanning and monitoring software such as Snyk, Nessus etc.
  • Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes and other containerization technologies
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle or other RDBMS systems
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • Basic understanding of authentication mechanism’s such as Active Directory
  • Must work well in a team environment and be flexible as workloads and priorities change
  • Must be a self-starter and able to define and solve problems
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Ability to design, organize, and document technical plans
  • Ability to work in a remoteelecommuting team-based environment
  • Ability to research and learn new technologies independently (self-motivated)

Desired Skills

  • .NET application development experience preferred
  • Cloud experience: Azure, AWS, GCP etc.
  • SQL Server database experience preferred
  • Experience with GIS systems preferred

Environment (Working conditions, physical requirements)

  • This position will require moving of up to 10 lbs. This position will be mostly stationary requiring some movement around the office and frequent communication with others. The average working hours will be 8 hours a day for this position with occasional need to exceed.
