Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Kforce is seeking an experienced Hardware/Software Test Engineer for an enterprise client accelerating business outcomes with comprehensive solutions to help their customers remote into their data centers in Fort Collins, Colorado (CO). Summary: This position will require this individual to go onsite, however they will not have to be onsite 40 hours a week. This opportunity will enable a Hardware Test Engineer to join a team of developers, QA, and product managers to help further give customers access to their environment remotely. In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (-the Act-) (C.R.S. S 8-5-101 et seq.), Kforce discloses that the anticipated pay range for this position, which is subject to change based on job-related factors, including Kforce client requirements where applicable, is between $30-$32. Project: While working on this project you will be asked to perform tasks to set up systems to host test environments. This person should be adaptable and flexible, and passionate about testing. You will be responsible for collaborating and coordinating with different engineers and offsite teams in order to ensure that these environments get set up.

Job Requirements:


  • Experience with Linux – ideally Ubuntu and/or RedHat
  • Shell Scripting (BASH) and using the command line interface
  • Familiar with testing methodology, test matrices, unit testing, etc.
  • Unboxing, setting up, and configuring computer systems
  • Installing & removing computer CPU, dGPU, DRAM, NVME m.2, SSD, Disks, etc.
  • Creating, managing, and restoring disk images
  • Updating and testing system BIOS
  • Installing and uninstalling system software, drivers, & applications
  • Using GitHub
  • Coding in Python – when needed
