Experis IT is in search of an experienced Sr. Network Administrator for a client in the Colorado market. The role is 100 telecommute. Experience, Knowledge, Skills Education Bachelor degree in computer Science or Electrical Engineer or related field 5-7 years’ technical experience and expertise with enterprise switched and routed networks in a fiber-connected, large campus environment is required Industry certifications in networking is desired Ability to ensure optimal operation of network hardware including routers, switches, and wireless is required Experience with dynamic routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and VRRP Strong knowledge of network design and implementation as well as firewall configuration experience with firewall technologies Technical experience in architecture, design, install and network troubleshooting of IP Networks. Knowledge in SCADA,HMI, PLC, Modbust, iFix In depth knowledge of network capacity, planning, network security protocols and network management best practices Solid understanding of LAN topologies, servers, firewall and router placement and operating systems. Industry certifications in networking security, desired High level of quality and accuracy with attention to details Valid driver license and good driving record Demonstrated commitment to stay current with network trends and security topics Must be able to pass CJIS background check and drug screen be able to lift 35 lbs and possess a valid Colorado driver’s license. Essential Functions Provide network assistance to the organization in a professional and timely manner Manages the operational activities of the Industrial network, including design, installation, configuration, maintenance, reliability and security Supervises and provides technical leadership and guidance to technical staff and ensures policy compliance Analyzes network functions and evaluates the services provided develops a plan of action and recommendations identifies milestones and issues to be addressed generates reports as required Monitors utilization trends, manages network performance, and assures maximum uptime performs ongoing analysis, capacity planning, and technical tuning of the network systems to improve performance Lead in the development and review of plan specifications for ICS. Design and evaluate equipment as it relates to process automation Assist in developing and maintaining standards used to configure ICS which include Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), historical data, system hardware and network Act as a liaison with consultants and contractors Establish and maintain network analysis and monitoring tools including health reporting and alerting Assist with securing the network system by enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access to the ICS Plans, develops, and designs network management and maintenance projects, including policies and procedures, operational improvements, and evaluates new technology integration relating to ICS. Coordinates and prioritizes operations projects and activities with other departments and service providers Reads and interprets network and telecom technical documentation effectively presents information to IT Staff and customers as needed Researches and conducts training on new technology and network integration. Daily work entails regular use of the following BrocadeRuckus Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches Check Point Security Management Server and Firewalls Moxa Layer2 and Layer 3 Switches and access points Solarwinds and Microsoft Office.
