– Boulder.**Position Type**Postdoc (Fixed Term).**Hours Per Week**40.**Job Description**The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado, is the nation’s primary laboratory for research and development of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies.

NREL has an immediate opening for one full-time data analysis and programming Postdoctoral researcher.

The candidate will be part of a multi-national laboratory testing team to develop real-time and post processing software that is IEC compliant.

The candidate will be responsible for the planning, development, documentation, and deployment of software for quality assurance, processing, reduction, visualization, transmission, and achieving of data collected from laboratory and field testing of marine energy systems.

The candidate must be highly proficient with Matlab and Python programming, time series analysis, and data analysis.

The candidate must have understanding of programming with real world experience in software design, build, implementation, and verification.The data analysis and programming specialist will:+ Develop programs for quality assurance, processing, reduction, visualization, transmission, and achieving of data from laboratory and field testing in Matlab, and Python.+ Work with clients to understand data processing needs and develop software solutions+ Assist in the setup, installation, operation, and recovery of data acquisition systems, sensors and instruments at remote locations for field and laboratory measurement of marine energy+ Support the development and execution of projects in other marine energy areas, including environmental monitoring, technology development, demonstration and deployment.+ Minimum Qualifications+ A PhD with experience in programming and data analysis and visualization+ The candidate must have hands on experience with Matlab/Python programming, time series analysis, and app development.+ High proficiency in Matlab and Python+ Excellent time management skills with ability to work both independently and within a group+ Excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a large dynamic team environment with evolving requirements and schedules.Experience Level+ Proficient programing skills in Matlab and Python for data quality assurance, processing, reduction, visualization, transmission, and achieving.Preferred Qualifications+ Experience with customer relations to understand needs and develop value added solutions.+ Experience performing experimental mechanical systems measurements, related data processing, and time series analysis using MatLab/Python.+ Degree in a scientific discipline.**Basic Qualifications**Must be a recent PhD graduate within the last three years..**Additional Required Qualifications****Preferred Qualifications**.**Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)**Annual Salary Range: $68,000
– $112,200Offers will typically be made in the bottom half of the listed range.
