Wana Brands is hiring a Warehouse and Purchasing Assistant who will coordinate activities related to stocking and replenishing goods sold by the company and keeping a clean and safe warehouse by performing the duties outlined below. This position assists in ordering of company supplies. A percentage of work time may also be spent assisting with facility maintenance and small repairs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor use and inventory levels of selected SKUs updating forecasts.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Warehousing to place stocking orders, recurring orders, re-orders and special orders with specific vendors as well as prepare and dispatch purchase orders.
  • Prepare and provide access to ingredients for daily production use.
  • Confer with vendor contacts to obtain favorable and timely deliveries as well as the best possible pricing.
  • Update computer inventory systems with timely and valid information when necessary.
  • Periodically meet with and exchange information with production managers/leads sharing the same vendor responsibilities.
  • Respond to the various departments within the organization who may need information regarding vendors, products, deliveries, etc.
  • Check all invoice discrepancies involving vendors in your area of responsibility. Correct and approve and return to accounting in a timely manner.
  • Assist with resolving vendor disputes.
  • Receive orders and check for accuracy and quality.
  • Move received goods to proper storage location in warehouse
  • Assist in ordering company supplies.
  • Perform some research duties relative to purchasing and ordering
  • Handle outgoing shipments with UPS or other shippers
  • Keep warehouse clean, safe and organized.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of facilities as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have, or be able to obtain prior to employment, an MED Badge through the State of Colorado
  • Forklift certification – company will provide
  • Must be able to be approved for Company Vehicle Insurance through a background check of motor vehicle history
  • Communicate in written, verbal and electronic form
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This position also uses warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, walkie stackers, box cutters, and other equipment used in receiving and storing merchandise and equipment.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and ability to drive a motor vehicle.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position works normal business hours Monday-Friday.  Early mornings or late evenings may be required.

Travel between two locations in different towns will be required using a company vehicle.
