Manufacturing Specialist I or II, 1st Shift, Distribution Center

This is a Full-time position in Boulder, CO posted July 20, 2021.

Primary Objective of Position:Performs varied, but standardized, tasks and rotates between those tasks as needed, to meet production demands. Contributes ideas and suggestions to the development and improvement of processes used to accomplish company objectives. Works under direct supervision. Follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.Essential Job Functions:* Applies basic skills learned to perform one or more routine / semi-routine tasks, such as shipping and receiving, material handling, mechanical and electronic assembly, welding, brazing, soldering, tube bending, calibration, and machining. Beginning to understand total process flow.* Identifies work to be done by following standardized communication procedures. Cooperatively flexes into other areas as assigned.* Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Resolves routine questions and problems, refers more complex issues to higher levels.* Ensures product and process quality is maintained through visual inspection and testing as required. Bring concerns about product and process quality to attention of area management.* Thoroughly documents all product travelers ensuring proper quality documentation as applicable to a given process. Enters data and performs computer transactions as appropriate.* Contributes input to, and cooperates with, Continuous Improvement Process (CIP), Lean manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) efforts to help improve quality, shorten cycle times, and reduce manufacturing costs.* Performs preventative maintenance on, and ensures calibration of, equipment, tools, and fixtures, as required.* May assist with the orientation and training of other Manufacturing Specialists.* Willingly participates in inter and/or intra departmental job rotations as needed.* Keeps work areas clean and organized, in accordance with 5s 1 principles.* Knows and follows all safety procedures as required in a specific operation. Identifies safety concerns and takes appropriate action.* Leads and/or participates in organized stretching.* Willingly shares skills and knowledge. Effectively gives and receives feedback.* Cooperatively performs additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Exhibits excellent interpersonal communication skills. Works cooperatively with all members of the Micro Motion team, both inter and intra departmentally. Maintains good safety, attendance, and performance records. Demonstrates ability to obtain the appropriate qualifications as needed. Is able to read, interpret, and follow written, visual, and verbal work instructions.A valid driver’s license is required if at any time your position involves driving a forklift or a company vehicle.Experience:0 – 2 years of experience in production environment, MMI warehouse experience preferred.Education:High School diploma or equivalent.Physical Demands:* Corrected vision may be required.* Must be able to lift 50 lbs safely.* Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.Work AuthorizationNo calls or agencies please.
