Nordson MEDICAL works with doctors, start-ups and large medical companies around the world at any point in the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.Job SummaryThe ability to use hand tools and mechanical equipment with and aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. Assemble finished goods, sort and de-gate per work instructions and ensure that all parts and products under their care meet the quality standards of the outlined procedures. The ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents is a critical part of Assembly. Assemblers should also be team players who are willing to work with those in their assigned lines or groups to achieve business targets and KPI’s of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely, driving positivity and high team moral.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities* Sort defective parts as directed by quality control.* Able to work in a clean room environment.* De-gate parts as required.* Maintains a 6’s work environment* Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation* Read blueprints and verify the parts required prior to assembly* Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications* Monitors equipment to ensure product is being assembled properly* Cleans equipment* Performs line clearance* Adheres to all safety guidelinesEducation and Experience Requirements* High school diploma or GED* Experience in working within a manufacturing company.Skills and Abilities* Ability to operate pneumatic equipment.* Experience and understanding of test equipment.* Computer Comprehension* Ability to work well with others* Close attention to detailWorking Conditions and Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
