Lab Technician

Summary

We are seeking a diligent Lab Technician to perform manufacturing activities in our reagent manufacturing lab. The majority of day-to-day activities will be focused on formulating buffers, manufacturing assay plates, inspecting, labeling, documenting and packaging of our product. This person will also be responsible for maintaining manufacturing space cleanliness and practicing sterile technique. This role will provide essential feedback on new process development and assist in optimizing workflows.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manufacture reagents and assays as specified in controlled manufacturing procedures, and in compliance with regulations and guidelines
  • Cleaning, sterilizing and preparing laboratory on a daily basis to maintain the manufacturing area per company specifications
  • Generation of bulk material and aliquoting of non-hazardous liquid reagents
  • Prepare, assemble, and operate manufacturing lab equipment as trained
  • Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and other documentation as applicable to the scope of manufacturing
  • Accurately complete documentation of manufacturing batch records, using Good Laboratory Practices. Documentation practices include:
  • Edit and update SOPs as needed
  • Initiate deviations, Risk Assessments and NCMRs
  • Accurately update data into an ERP system
  • Ensures equipment calibration and preventative maintenance services are completed and documented in compliance with quality system

 

Qualifications

  • 1+ years? experience in an operations, manufacturing, or similar environment
  • Basic lab skills such as pipetting, sterilization, etc.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills in Word and Excel

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate?s or bachelor?s degree in biological or physical science preferred but not required
  • Experience manufacturing reagents and/or assays preferred but not required
  • Experience with aseptic or molecular biology technique is a plus
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Experience at an FDA regulated biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturer is a plus

Pay Range

  • $18-$27 per hour
