Lead Production Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (M-F 2pm-1030pm)

This is a Full-time position in Fort Collins, CO posted June 10, 2021.

Core Hours: Monday-Friday, 2pm-1030pmPurpose and ScopeThe Lead Production Maintenance Technician leads maintenance activities and provides technical support for the maintenance of the Production equipment. Performs regular preventive maintenance and repair, strives to improve operational quality of the facility and its equipment and leads other Maintenance Technicians staff members in these functions.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and distribute weekly PM report.Evaluate PM schedule and execute to ensure PMs are completed on time and correctly documented.Responsible for maintaining spare parts inventory for assigned equipment, including monitoring levels, initiating requisitions, completing budget review, and ordering necessary materials.Requisition maintenance supplies, machinery, parts and equipment as needed.Coordinate Production Maintenance activities with Manufacturing teams to ensure minimum downtime.Communicate any downtime to Production Maintenance Supervisor and Production Maintenance Manager, ensuring that they are updated on events that occur during the off-shifts.Confer with management, quality and production managers to resolve problems found.Maintain process equipment and machinery, and perform scheduled maintenance operations.Assist with completion of incident reports and change controls.Identify and complete change controls for obsolete parts.Maintain ability to drive between buildings in order to communicate with all team members.Responsible for engineering support and maintaining equipment and processes to include the construction, modification and improvement of equipment, with assistance other technicians.Responsible for maintaining content of training records for department, in compliance with cGMP standards.Identify training requirements and provide training report to employees in Production Maintenance team.Responsible for training and directing other technicians in equipment operation, set-ups and repairs.Responsible for training and directing other technicians on the use, maintenance and cleaning of equipment.Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs for equipment and systems.Establish and maintain records that demonstrate conformity with FDA, cGMP, and SOP standards.Recommend and assist with implementing measures/processes to improve operating conditions of equipment.Perform electrical troubleshooting and component replacement as needed.Ensure that all workshop and office areas are kept clean and organized.Assist with Facilities Maintenance needs, as needed.Participate in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include but is not limited to the handling of universal waste such as spent fluorescent tubes, spent filters, batteries, and used oil.
