Click here to learn more.*OVERTIME CURRENTLY AVAILABLE*The Field Service Technician works with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment at the customer’s site in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” Depending on education and experience, the Field Service Technician may perform all or some of the Essential Functions listed below with or without direct supervision.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Makes determinations in the field on warranty repair and guidelines, communicating decisions to customer and dispatcherRemoves, repairs, and installs major components in varying configurations of equipmentReads, understands, and applies electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair workAccurately troubleshoots and repairs CAT equipment the first timeCompletes CAT service reports daily that are legible, have proper grammar and sentence structure, and appropriate SIMS codeCommunicates with customers on the diagnosis and status of repairs, parts, and other concernsWorks with the Service Department, Product Support Representatives, and Sales Department to meet all of the customer’s needsSafely rigs or hooks components for liftingLoads and unloads equipment and partsLoads and unloads lube trucks with fresh and waste oilsMaintains PM truck maintenance to include daily inspections, PM services, and tire rotationsFollows strict CC guidelines with PM trucks and PM service stallEmpties waste oil filter bins and trash off of PM trucksMaintains service vehicle in safe and good repairMaintains equipment such as transfer oil pumps, air compressors, and oil reelsMaintains tooling in good working order as per MSHA and OSHA regulationsMaintains truck and crane inspection logs on a daily basisMaintains Drivers HOS logs dailyMaintains good customer records on jobs that have been assignedMaintains credit card receipts for accounting purposesTeaches and coaches other technicians in the fieldLearns from and assists other technicians in the fieldAssists PM techs in the field when neededOrganizes parts into tech parts bins dailyRuns power sweeper through shopPerforms general housekeeping duties as assignedDrives/Shuttles PM trucks around yard dailyPerforms parts runs to vender sitesTransmits photos, timecards, service reports, and other information through e-mailPromotes Wagner Equipment Co.
