Associate Chief Quality Officer


This is a Full-time position in Fort Collins, CO posted April 7, 2021.

Summary:Provides oversight of quality initiatives, in partnership with executive and medical staff leadership.**Work Schedule:** Part Time DaysResponsibilities:Directs quality initiatives in conjunction with medical staff and executive leadership.Assists the Chief Quality Officer in directing the medical safety program.

Coordinates participation of Infection Control, Epidemiology, Safety, Occupational Health Services, Risk Management, Quality Improvement Services, and others.Oversees performance improvement (PI) activities involving quality initiatives.

Leads development of policies and procedures related to quality improvement and medical safety.

Reports on sentinel events and serves as physician champion in PI efforts.

Evaluates services that are affected by quality, medical safety, or regulatory issues.

Identifies issues, makes recommendations for improvement, and monitors services to ensure that recommendations are implemented.Serves as a resource for PI, medical safety, and regulatory issues.

Participates in activities related to accreditation and clinical guidelines, in collaboration with the Chief Quality Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and the medical executive committee.

Provides input into major capitol expenses related to quality.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.**Requirements:**+ Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school.+ Minimum Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.+ Unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners physician license.+ Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.+ Board certified in a clinical specialty area.+ Appropriate credentialing through Medical Staff Services.+ Medical staff membership at a system hospital or other medical staff affiliated with the system, with appropriate CORE practice privileges.UCHealth offers their employees a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
