Our Business Development Professionals:

  • Prepare powerful sales presentations that effectively demonstrate the value of Journey Payroll & HR products and business solutions on the phone;

  • Develop new business opportunities by prospecting, referral leads, and networking;

  • Grow and maintain a client pipeline toward businesses to continually grow Journey and generate sales;

  • Create and maintain referral relationships with CPAs & other partners;

  • Build credibility with potential clients through product and service demonstrations;

  • Use a consultative approach to the sales process, looking for ways to help prospects; and

  • Maintain consistent sales growth by continually establishing new accounts.

We are Looking for Experienced Business Development Professionals in the Payroll Industry Who:

  • Have a proven track record of payroll or similar B2B sales;

  • Have a thorough grasp of how to relationally sell an intangible service that can’t be known until experienced, and a tangible product – technology – that can be demonstrated;

  • Can understand and anticipate busy business leaders and their gatekeepers;

  • Are great at building and nurturing referral relationships;

  • Know how to close deals; and

  • Are hungry for something different.

This is not the right opportunity for those who:

  • Complain about clients, gossip about team members, or play the blame game;

  • Fail to hold themselves personally accountable for their performance;

  • Lack a sense of urgency or move at a slow, methodical pace;

  • Struggle with or resist change;

  • Are self-focused rather than client-focused; or who

  • Lack drive, motivation, and integrity.

Our expected salary range for this position is $60k-$75k depending on experience, plus commission with an expected but not limited total compensation of $100k-120k. The opportunity goes beyond that though, including a roadmap to ownership.
