Chemical/Metallurgical Engineer (Must be U.S. Citizen/Green Card)

This is a Full-time position in Fort Collins, CO posted November 27, 2021.

Forte Analytical, a northern Colorado based engineering firm, is seeking an entry to mid-level chemical/metallurgical engineer, or similar equivalent knowledge in mining-based chemistry.

This person will work with our senior engineers to focus on general mineral processing engineering for mine development and enhancement projects.

The job location is in the front range area of Colorado.

Knowledge / Experience / Requirements:
3-5 years engineering experience: mining, mineral processing, chemistry or related fields preferred.

At least 2 years engineering experience with gold mining operations
Able to review client metallurgical data and provide technical assistance and recommendations for equipment and process design
Experience with development of laboratory testing programs and data analysis
Experience maintaining project budgets and schedules
MSHA certification is preferred, but not required.
FE/PE certification is preferred, but not required.
Summary of Duties / Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
Team oriented and ability to take direction well and learn quickly

Strong organizational skills, communication, dependability, and work ethic
Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
Proficient knowledge in MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
Reliability, honesty, and a high standard of integrity is required
Excellent customer service skills are required
Aid in the Production of complete and accurate design drawings
Interact and communicate with responsible engineer and project team
Manage and archive project files properly
Learn and apply new or upgraded software
Willingness to travel from time to time
