Chief Revenue Officer


This is a Full-time position in Boulder, CO posted November 24, 2021.

Brandzooka is seeking an experienced Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to join us in our mission to democratize the programmatic advertising landscape.

This position will be responsible for spearheading the role that the company’s sales and marketing teams play in driving growth, and will have ultimate accountability in aligning revenue-generating departments and building strategic partnerships.

This role will focus on leadership and alignment across the company’s sales and marketing teams, and will work closely with leaders across the organization to help align business strategy, sales, marketing, branding, and partnerships.

Together with other members of the executive team, you will execute the current corporate strategic plan, focusing on retention and growth of accounts, expansion to new customer segments and partnerships, and strengthening sales and marketing operations.

You will be instrumental in creating future strategic plans with the goal of boosting revenue streams.

Objectives of this Role

  • Partner with other members of the executive team to execute the current corporate strategic plan, and develop future plans to drive product adoption and customer growth.
  • Ensure performance, strategy, cross-team communication, and alignment of the organization’s revenue-generating departments.
  • Spearhead a sales team that can drive business growth across all customer segments and profiles.
  • Share accountability with the marketing function for improving the individual customer experience, and flushing out retention & nurture strategies.
  • Oversee a team responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the overall business marketing strategy.
  • Help maximize reach and efficiency by adding new, scalable partners in a strategic way.
  • Build and foster creative teams committed to continuing our creative culture of innovation.
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics.
  • Stay well-connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into the product development and enhancement cycle.
  • Collaborate with finance, product management, and media on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals.
  • Identify and resolve issues across the marketing/sales and account management functions.
  • Participate in contract negotiations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years in diversified leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through the optimization of existing and creation of new sales channels, marketing, branding, and partnerships.
  • Proven experience developing and executing business strategy.
  • Experience leading sales and marketing teams and driving business growth and marketing initiatives.
  • Significant general management and P&L experience.
  • Ability to craft and execute a business strategy.
  • History of decision-making based on business metrics.
  • Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach.


  • Salary Range: $150,000+
  • We offer 1 of the 2 platinum level insurance plans offered in Colorado.
