Hope House Communications and Development Specialist


This is a Full-time position in Greeley, CO posted May 9, 2022.

Hope House Communications and Development SpecialistThe Communications and Development Specialist, located at Hope House Northern Colorado in west Greeley, will work to create programs, processes, and events for Hope House participants, donors, and volunteers.

Hope House focuses on impacting two generations, empowering parenting teenage moms to strive for personal and economic self-sufficiency and to understand their significance in God’s sight, resulting in a healthy future for them and for their children.

Current and planned programs include parenting, healthy relationship, and financial literacy classes; individual counseling sessions; benefits application assistance; educational and career support; financial and product assistance; and early learning education for children.

All services are provided at no cost to the families, and regardless of religious affiliation.

Hope House NoCO officially launched in 2019 to serve Weld & Larimer counties.

We are the first affiliate of Hope House Colorado, an organization near Denver which has been providing services for teen moms for the past 18 years.

The majority of current participants live in Greeley, though we do also serve Fort Collins/Loveland and surrounding communities of all 3 cities.

Because Hope House is a newer organization, there is the potential for the AmeriCorps member to have significant ownership of and impact on many components of the organization.

The next several years will be essential to solidify Hope House’s operations, connections in the community, and sustainable funding.

Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.Member Duties : 1) Communications: to date, various components have been started, but this has opportunity for overall strategic planning.

Duties will include building a yearly communications timeline and developing/executing several campaigns.

2) Donor engagement: two fundraising galas, one virtual (2020) and one in-person (2021), have been held, and we plan to add 1-2 smaller events in 2022 to supplement event revenue and grow organizational visibility.

Duties will include creating an ongoing events strategy, organizing several events, growing corporate sponsorships for events, evaluating events for areas of improvement, and developing a donor segmentation strategy.

3) Volunteer engagement: several volunteers have been individually recruited, but we do not currently have processes for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing engagement.
