Life Sciences Lead Product Application Specialist

SUEZ - Water Technologies & Solutions

This is a Contract position in Boulder, CO posted July 19, 2021.

The role collaborates with the Life Science Product Managers and commercial teams to drive the strategic growth of the UPW Total Organic Carbon (TOC) product line by acting as the pharma/biotech applications champion across the organization. This includes defining product and application requirements, developing detailed sales tools, supporting consultative sales processes, traveling globally to train and support global sales teams conducting customer application studies, authoring detailed case studies, and creating content for key commercial initiatives. The successful candidate must be comfortable with frequent travel to customer sites to resolve their most challenging application needs.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Working with customers and leveraging internal resources to develop new applications that can be commercialized and contribute to sales growth. This will include assessing applications with customers and trialing our products to demonstrate effectiveness
  • Supporting customers and sales managers with application expertise and troubleshooting to help close opportunities. Leverages internal resources such as the application development lab, technical service and the technology department to accomplish this effort.  
  • Promoting the use of our products and services in specific applications through technical seminars, trade-show attendance, presenting technical papers at key industry conferences, and support of key sales demonstrations
  • Providing internal expertise on technical application issues, including, regulatory and industry standards compliance and evolving industry applications that use our instruments, consumables and services
  • Serves as a conduit of customer input into the development of products and services to serve customer needs better and create a competitive advantage.
  • Tracks applicable changing industry standards and regulations
  • Leads and participates in cross-functional application development project meetings
  • Tracks work and provides regular updates

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology Engineering or life sciences related
  • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory, product management or process experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
