Your primary interfaces will be with the HR Shared Service Center (HRSSC), Retirement Center of Excellence (COE), Payroll, HR Business Partners and Advisors, Nutrien Employees and Retirement vendors.What you will do: Provide exceptional customer service to employees from a diverse organization that are seeking additional information relevant to Retirement Plans or redirecting as appropriateAct as Subject Matter Expert by keeping up to date with US & Canadian legislations pertaining to Retirement to make administrative and procedural decisions, as well as exercising judgment on sensitive issues in alignment with corporate policy/regulations, as reviewed with the COESupport the ongoing development and continuous improvement initiatives within the HR Shared Service Center and/or the Center of Excellence by participating in activities such as the review and update of process documentation and team ways of workingEnsure that your work is managed effectively and efficiently through company systems and that you are adaptable and supportive of any new or changing technologiesSafeguard employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive informationTo ensure that health, safety, security, and risk issues are considered and factored into all areas of activity.

Regular reviews are undertaken, and actions taken as necessaryAdminister the US and/or Canadian defined contribution retirement plan (including 401(k) and RRSP programs) and defined benefit pension plans ensuring compliance with Plan Document and legislationAd hoc reporting of necessary data requested by plan actuaries and defined contribution plan record-keepersManage the data and employee aspects of the compliance audits and filings, ensuring that compliance with all regulatory requirements applicable to the defined contribution, defined benefit and 401(k) plans are met including employee notifications and government filingsResponsible for internal data audits, query resolution, reconciliations, and funding.

Ensuring indicative data is accurately shared between plan provider and Nutrien’s HRIS systemPrepares estimated pension plan benefits and communication packages for active, terminated vested, retirees, beneficiaries, and alternate payee participants upon termination.

Manages the processing of pension paymentsAdvise participants/members about tools and resources available to them in relation to their retirement benefitsCollaborate with the Center of Excellence team with retirement communications and policy/process updatesEnsure all requested information from independent auditors are captured and resolve any complex issues or discrepancies, working collaboratively with the Center of Excellence Team as requiredProvide support for data managements projects including retirement plan non-discrimination testing and annual benefit statementsResponsible for reconciliation of savings plan records between Nutrien and vendorsAssist with Nutrien’s HRIS system maintenance and system testing of savings/retirement plans and recordsSupport the improvements of systems and procedures to enhance the HR Shared Services Centre efficiencyProvide direction and support to wider HRSSC/Payroll team members, including training as appropriateDevelops with COE and maintains operational procedures and process documentation for plans considering established deadlines.

Increase efficiency within the team by identifying ways to improve processesWhat you will bring: Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources or other similar degreeMinimum 5 years retirement plan experienceComprehensive knowledge and experience with US/CAN Retirement plans, practices, policies, and regulatory requirementsExperience with defined benefit plans within a large multinational companyPrevious experience with regulatory filings and government formsExpertise with a wide variety of audits both internal and external, reconciliation and coordination of fundingStrong relationship building skills with a variety of levels both internally and externallyStrong customer-service orientation with a desire to continually improve the employee experienceStrong analytical, investigative, and complex problem-solving skillsTechnology skills including Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint at intermediate levelAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously meeting required deadlinesPersonal CharacteristicsDemonstrated self-motivation, analytical and highly organizedSolution-oriented, with demonstrated ability to resolve complex/escalated issues with an inclusive mindset and ability to identify and implement ongoing process improvementsStrong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with multiple functions, multi levels and in a multi-tasking, team environmentAbility to make administrative and procedural decisions and exercise judgment on sensitive issuesDemonstrated strengths in decision-making and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and respond appropriately to urgent requestsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with patience and empathy in both written and verbal communications.

As well as build strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and team membersStrong willingness to continuously improve the performance of both oneself and the HR SSC through continuous learning and self-developmentAbility to be flexible in terms of working schedule, potential requirement to work overtime or weekends during peak activity periodsCompensation & Benefits:Salary Range: $64,750 $92,500.

This range is estimated for the HRSSC Retirment Advisor in Loveland, Colorado.

Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week.
