Order Fulfillment Specialist

As a valued member of our order fulfillment team, our specialist will perform various final packaging activities, including monitoring merchandise leaving the warehouse and ensuring customers receive a well-packaged product. They will also be building multiple pallets for outbound shipments, preparing small packages for UPS, DHL, FedEx., combining shipping documents such as invoices, purchase orders, SLIs, and BOLs that will go with pallets and small packages. As well as cycle counting inventory for our warehouse.

In addition, there are two essential job functions of every position at Rubadue Wire.  These are integral to all actions throughout the day.  These two essential job functions are: ensure the safety of all employees and improve something every day.


Job Title:  Order fulfillment specialists

Reports to: Production Planning Manager

Department: Operations

Position Type: FT Non-Exempt


Essential Functions:

  • Prepare pallets and small packages for outbound shipments 60%
  • Data entry into ERP system 15%
  • Process stock orders for outbound shipments 5%  
  • Inventory control and cycle counts 15%
  • Drive forklift 5%



  • Collaborate with procurement staff on expected deliveries & cycle counts
  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
  • Accurate counting with excellent attention to detail is a must
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
  • Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
  • Use of Forklift/pallet jack to move pallets.
  • Prepare pallets for outbound international shipments and small package shipments
  • Inventory for Packaging and warehouse
  • Appling the correct documents that are to go with the international pallets and small package
  • Able to work with minimal oversight at times, able to confidently handle situations on their own

Education and Experience:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required with a preferred minimum of 2 years working within a manufacturing environment.  Additional education and work experience combinations to be reviewed accordingly.


Work Environment: 

Work is primarily indoors in a climate-controlled warehouse and industrial manufacturing building; the noise level is quiet to moderate. They are occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and hazards.  Proper use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, footwear, etc..) and adherence to Company Safety requirements shall be required.


Physical Demands:

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the following physical demands are required:

  • The ability to talk and hear to communicate, detect, discern, discuss, express oneself, and exchange information effectively and clearly.
  • The ability to see details at a close range.
  • Requires working in confined spaces and occasionally in proximity to loud machinery,
  • Frequently requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and crawling.
  • Requires ability to lift and maneuver 25lbs to 65lbs daily.
  • Requires high manual dexterity and fine motor skills in both hands to feel, handle, and grasp objects.

Travel Required: None.

Base Pay: $18/hour
