Risk Management Producer/Advisor

This is a Contract position in Windsor, CO posted September 12, 2021.

Job Summary This is a sales focused position requiring advanced communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of insurance products available throughout the agency.

Must be capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and existing commercial lines accounts and retaining assigned book of commercial lines business if one is assigned.

Job Responsibilities: Achieve objectives established in advisor contract in order to meet sales goals.

Prospect for new business through networking opportunities and identified target groups.

Contact prospects to convey the story of the agency and provide the purpose behind our position for why they need to have us as their trusted advisor for risk management.

Survey prospects to determine risk management and insurance needs, which includes inspecting current insurance policies, risk management plans, property, products, and other exposures.

Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including loss history that will benefit the client the most.

Develop and deliver formal proposals of risk management solutions, including details of coverages, limits, deductibles, and other pertinent information.

Work with support staff to complete company submissions and selection of potential markets.

Maintain communication channels with clients in order to further develop a business relationship.

Introduce support staff to clients including our wide array of value-added services in order to convey our depth of client services and expertise.

Stay informed of all claims or service issues and become involved in resolution when required.

Participate in renewals, when appropriate, by reviewing expiration reports with support staff to determine appropriate action and collection of information to prepare renewal process.

Maintain pipeline reports and attend all sales meetings as required.

Promote agency brand and core values in the community.

Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by involvement within like-minded professional groups.

Be available to attend agency sponsored functions and events.

Qualifications Proven ability to pursue and close sales.

Three plus years’ experience in risk management and insurance sales.

Must have current Texas Department of Insurance general lines and property & casualty insurance license.
