Rule4: Technical Editor


This is a Full-time position in Boulder, CO posted September 15, 2021.

What you’ll do:As our Technical Editor, you’ll work side by side with our engineers to support clients that are changing the world across industries such as healthcare, private equity, manufacturing, utilities, government, outdoor recreation, and everything in between!At Rule4, we learn by doing.

You’ll work with our team to develop high-quality client-facing deliverables, including written reports, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, spreadsheets, policies, RFPs, workshop materials, and more!

You’ll be the shepherd guiding our deliverables through the quality management process, and you’ll sharpen your skills and grow more superpowers along the way.

Some specifics:Review and edit documents submitted by engineers for clarity, punctuation, grammar, style, accuracy, organization, and content.Draft written deliverables, diagrams, and presentations in collaboration with engineers.Create infographics to help illustrate concepts and data in deliverables, using programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visme, and Adobe Illustrator.Ensure deliverable layout and formatting are clean, balanced, and appealing.Create, manage, and drive improvements across a stable of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates.Assist with drafting and editing marketing and website content.Be the protector of quality in the den (our Core Value #9: “Instill excellence in everything: Focus on quality above all else, and demand excellence of yourself and your fox family.

Good enough isn’t.”)Track and facilitate projects through our Quality Management process, from quality assurance through peer review, final review, and delivery.Provide feedback and advice to our engineers.Maintain our house style guide.Note: While we offer a flexible schedule that includes some work-from-home days, this is primarily an on-site role in our Boulder, Colorado, office.
