Parts Driver Position Summary

The Parts Driver delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership in a timely and accurate manner.

S/he is a liaison of parts sales, assuring customer satisfaction and supporting outside sales in promoting the organizations goods and services.

S/he is responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.

Parts Driver Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
Drives in a safe, courteous, and defensive manner.

Pulls, verifies, and organizes parts for delivery to assure accuracy.

Assists in organizing delivery route to be as efficient as possible.

Strictly adheres to all company safety policies, rules, and training.

Assures vehicles are properly fueled, clean, and ready for transport or delivery.

Assures parts/supplies are delivered to appropriate destination in proper time.

Delivers accompanying paperwork to the appropriate person.

Assures vehicles are properly secured.

Helps keep a clean and orderly dock.

Communicates professionally with customers at sites.

Settings up customer returns accurately.

Participates in yearly physical inventories.

Attends department meetings as requested.

Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

Parts Driver Education
High school degree or equivalent.

Parts Driver Experience
Automotive parts experience preferred.

Specialized Skills
Valid Class C or D license preferred.

Must have a clean driving record, maintain current vehicle insurance, and be able to pass insurance guidelines for drivability.

Must be at least 21 years of age or older.

Must be able to drive long distances, and for several hours.

Able to work with and understand route guiding and navigation software.

Ability to read a map and understand geographic area.

Demonstrated ability to drive safely in various road conditions, including when transporting hazardous materials.

Professional personal appearance, including appropriate work attire and personal hygiene.

Strong attention to detail to ensure order deliver and accuracy.

Supervisory Expectations:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Hours

Regular work hours are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Employee hours vary and are dependent on business needs.

The position is up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Wages Hourly, Non-Exempt: $15.00 $17.00 DOE
