Supply Chain Delivery Driver

Boulder Community Health

This is a Full-time position in Boulder, CO posted November 23, 2021.

Full Time, Days.

Pay range is between $15-$20.74/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience

Promotes effective material management by driving daily truck/courier routes to deliver supplies, lab specimens, and/or pharmacy supplies between BCH campus location. Routes may include pickups/deliveries to non-BCH facilities. Works as a member of a team with other Supply Chain staff to receive nightly supply delivery and restocking of main warehouse. Receives outgoing shipments/supplies, being accountable for accurate accounting of quantity and quality of goods delivered. Is accountable for packing/loading shipments into vehicles for safe and secure transport. Ensures accurate and timely delivery of all outgoing packages to appropriate departments.


Education or Formal Training

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)

Current unrestricted Colorado driver’s license required

Knowledge, Skill and Ability

  • Ability to drive BCH insured vehicles.
  • Ability to stay on task to complete assigned tasks while handling multiple interruptions and noise
  • Must have and utilize good judgment
  • Ability to accurately access facts/circumstances around a situation/problem and actively participates in problem resolution
  • Promotes open communication and actively participates in positive interpersonal relationships
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn and utilize a Courier Delivery Application loaded on BCH supplied mobile phone to track package pickups and deliveries.
  • Accurate data entry; maintains current and accurate data in hospital ERP system when assisting with supply fulfillment.
  • Has no physical limitations to pushing, pulling, walking, and/or standing for long periods of time.
  • Has excellent organizational skills and utilizes these to keep track of packages to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Must show initiative and flexibility to adapt work habits based on variable patient volumes for delivery requests
  • Ability to perform work under minimal supervision
  • Clerical aptitude and computer programs including Microsoft suite and Meditech hospital-based programs preferred


  • Computer experience—minimum one year preferred
  • Material Management within a healthcare organization including inventory control, purchasing and knowledge of supplies utilized in surgery preferred

Working Environment/Physical Activities

  • Subject to risks inherent in working in health care facility
  • High-pressure environment with frequent interruptions, deadlines, and pending emergencies
  • Exposure to fatigue, back strain, long periods of standing, walking, multiple stimuli and noises
  • Employee is frequently required to stoop, crouch, twist, kneel, squat, and sit for possibly long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and move supplies weighing up to 60 pounds


  • Picks up and delivers packages in accordance with established delivery routes and ad hoc dispatched requests.
  • Utilizes Courier Delivery Software to track package pickups and deliveries.
  • Breaks down shipments and correctly marks all packages for delivery utilizing established delivery destinations with departments’ specifications.
  • Is familiar with hospital departments and delivery locations to insure proper handling of all delivered supplies.
  • Maintains use of proper forms; e.g. bill of lading, packing slips, backorder slips, receiving documents, etc.
  • Cross-trained to insure proper distribution of supplies at all campus locations.
  • Possesses positive work habits and presents constructive, positive, professional image to persons inside and outside the department.
  • Maintains current purchasing inventory, and receiving records in Supply Chain ERP system when assisting with supply fulfillment.
  • Acts as a member of the Supply Chain team in supplying the hospital with supplies needed for the hospital to provide excellent care for their patients.
  • Assists with inventory of storeroom supplies in the warehouse on daily basis in conjunction with other members of the Supply Chain team.
