Content Director

Huebner Integrated Marketing / White Label IQ™

This is a Full-time position in Loveland, CO posted September 12, 2021.

The Content Director will inspire, nurture and celebrate creativity that is both relevant and unexpected with the end goal of earning a profit for the agency and its clients.

As a client-facing role that harnesses the strengths of those around them to achieve group and company objectives, this person is the leader of the content practice and sets an example for team members.

The Content Director will deliver best-in-class concept and content development to help teams develop an overall strategy and roadmap for compelling creative.

Understands content marketing best practices and is responsible for providing strategic guidance on planning for content research, creation, implementation, and measurement that support client marketing goals and business objectives.

Champion principles of both storytelling and content organization.

Provide insight and strategy to clients to keep their brands relevant to their target audiences.

Think big.

Then effectively communicate your ideas in a group setting.

Develop personal philosophies based on research and experience and share those insights.

Build relationships and maintain an environment that attracts talented copywriters, content strategists, and storytellers.

Stay informed on the latest industry and client best practices for storytelling, content strategy, and branding.

Experience as a leader and practitioner: editing, copywriting, scriptwriting, content strategy, market research, information architecture, SEO, and storytelling for video and websites.

Advertising experience is an interesting “plus” but not required.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams: visual design, UX, and video.

Experience managing expectations of and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.

Exceptional presentation, communication, and organizational skills.



Lead Content Strategy, Copywriting, and Storytelling Projects – 70%
Manage the process.

Assist in estimating resource needs, budgets and schedules.

Look for opportunities to improve defining systems to enable consistent execution while delegating and team collaboration that promotes continuous improvement.

Delegate project to team members when needed.

Prioritize project focus on a situational basis.

Provide guidance and clear direction to team members and freelancers.

Conduct regular work reviews with copywriters and strategists ahead of internal and client reviews.

Conduct brainstorms and group work sessions with copywriters and strategists.

Engage Clients to identify and create brand/product positioning and relevancy within targeted markets and audiences.

Present work, tell a story with a theme, plot, and vision.

Clearly explain the rationale behind decisions.

Collaborate closely with other disciplines; Design, Development, Paid Media, Accounts, Internal Marketing.

Problem-solve, and decisively lead projects with empathy and authority.

New Business Pitches and Ideation– 30%
Research and recommend strategic and creative insights for prospective clients.

Grow the importance and breadth of storytelling, content development, and SEO through fostering opportunity.

Work with Project Management on project scopes by helping to create the content project plan for prospective clients.
