Job Description:

The Director, Logistics Strategy will build a comprehensive outbound logistics carrier strategy for HelloFresh US.

We’re looking for an experienced strategic operations and transportation leader, who is interested in helping us grow and transform our logistics operations.

You will partner directly with our Executive Leadership Team and functional partners to oversee the expansion and optimization of the logistics roadmap throughout the US.

You will help support the ongoing success of HelloFresh and the evolution of our business.

You will
Define and drive the service quality and cost improvement strategy roadmap for HelloFresh’s Last Mile and Middle Mile Logistics operations (short and long term), own execution and validation of results against business goals.Report to the Senior Director of Logistics and work with senior leadership and strategy teams on departmental plans to improve KPIs.Lead, scale and motivate amongst a geographically dispersed team.

Oversee the development of the Logistics Strategy team to achieve operational excellence and outstanding customer experience.Enforce key metrics and improve analysis/data visualization capabilities to help drive more advanced insights and improvement opportunities.Diagnose areas for improvement across our Carrier network; use analytics and develop interventions that create tangible measurable impact to improve service quality and costs, and ultimately establish the optimal Carrier mix.Lead competitive tendering and strategic sourcing processes with transportation service providers.

Conduct negotiations to secure favorable contractual agreements, minimizing exposure to business risks.Establish excellent carrier relationship management practices.

Build procedures for evaluating supplier performance against contractual obligations, service levels and business expectations.Evaluate opportunities and champion new systems and technologies to support an increasingly complex supply chain and logistics network, increasing process automation capabilities.Promote cost savings and increased value by seizing opportunities in the external market and improving the way we work, including the successful negotiation of multi-million dollar vendor contracts and partnerships.Enforce our customer-focused environment committed to delivering the highest quality product.

At a minimum, you have…
Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of senior leadership experience in Logistics, Transportation, Operations Strategy or Supply Chain Management with a national consumer products business or hyper-growth stage company required.

Master’s degree preferredFood & beverage or transportation industry preferredProven leadership experience, with track record of hiring and developing talentAbility to travel up to 10% within the United StatesAbility to motivate and manage a team and successful track record hiring and developing talentWilling and available to work weekends as needed, subject to needs of the business

Salary Range: $150,000-$160,000

Position is eligible to participate, contingent on Supervisory Board Approval, in HelloFresh’s equity program.
