Director of Channel Sales


This is a Full-time position in Boulder, CO posted February 21, 2021.

We are seeking a Director of Channel Sales to serve as a subject matter expert working closely with our customers to shape, close, and grow our innovation partnerships for new solutions within Company’s Step Change Labs.

  • Drive the adoption of new innovative solutions with selected go-to-market partners
  • Develop a pipeline of target customers who will be early adopters, building interest in our joint innovative solutions and closing on opportunities with clients and partners
  • Bring actionable customer feedback to our product teams and joint steering committees to help refine both the product and the story
  • Support our customers to achieve their innovation goals
  • Seamlessly demonstrate our latest software product offerings to customers and potential partners
  • Create, develop and nurture relationships with the strategic alliances, both inside and outside of the energy industry, that will allow Company to achieve a strategic high ground and reach longer-term ambitions for growth
  • Become a subject matter expert with respect to the joint value propositions created. 
  • Facilitate the interaction between partners and internal stakeholders to progress multiple areas of our business forward

What you will contribute:

What you bring to Company:

  • A minimum of 7 years experience, as an entrepreneur, product marketer, salesperson, or innovation professional developing and/or selling SaaS, services and/or enterprise software or innovation solutions to customers including C-Level Executives
  • An in-depth working knowledge of utilities and a desire to work closely with our customers to shape solutions and buying needs
  • A proven track record of driving adoption of innovative solutions and closing multi-million dollar deals selling complex software solutions
  • The ability to turn complex information into simple and compelling stories
  • An in-depth understanding of the sales process and how to manage sales within the utility industry
  • Experience bringing together various internal and external stakeholders and moving them towards a common goal
  • The confidence, intelligence, and experience to challenge the status quo stand up for what’s right, and negotiate with industry-leading players
  • A growth mindset always looking for connections (people, technologies, products, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial experience at the intersection of the energy ecosystem and new innovative technology solutions
