FOH Manager

Bird & Jim

This is a Full-time position in Boulder, CO posted November 22, 2021.

Job Description:

The Front of House Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the main restaurant, Bird & Jim, as well as help in Bird’s Nest operations (opening spring 2022).

They are responsible for supervising and coordinating front of house staff and for reporting to the owners.

They are responsible for smooth communication with the Executive Chef and BOH.

Duties Include:
Interview and hire staff
Working and overseeing trainees and training program
Upholding our standards, norms and the core values of Bird & Jim
Upholding our standards of hospitality—ensure the customer receives the best experience
Holding staff accountable to our level of hospitality
Holding staff accountable to our standards, norms, and core values
Supervise and participate in the upkeep of guest areas, office, and storage areas
Balancing of all daily and nightly cash drawers and POS
Help maintain a profitable restaurant
Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines
Answer reservation and missed call emails
Work closely with the Back of House Manager to provide a seamless experience
Oversee that all opening and closing duties of the restaurants are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained
Handling and reporting incidences
Maintaining daily notes regarding operations
Working with other floor managers–managing and upholding the standards
Overseeing interns
5+ years of restaurant experience
Leadership skills and interpersonal skills
Excellent management skills
Ability to work in a team
Excellent customer service
Capable of multi-tasking
Attention to detail
Knowledge of Microsoft applications including word and excel
Experience using POS systems
High standards of personal hygiene and personal appearances
Ability to be on feet for several hours at a time
Capable of working five day per week
Able to work weekends and holidays (we are close for Thanksgiving and Christmas day)
Salary of 70,000
Quarterly bonus structure of $2,000 based on performance and reviews
