We have an immediate need for a Manager, Energy Engineering.

Here is a look at the responsibilities for this position:
Manage a team of energy engineers as well as act as lead energy engineer for Federal Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) and Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC) in the Eastern United States region for federal customers.

Development and training of existing and new hires in the region, manage resources internal and external assigned to projects Support team members’ generation of project development budgets for preliminary, competitive and investment grade audits, project development schedules, and project development plans of action.

Ensure that analysis engineers’ efforts are focused on the right activities based on ECM priority and viability as well as the project budget, and that the level of effort is appropriate for each ECM (based on project impact, complexity and development stage).

Represent engineering team on senior project management reviews and customer oral interviews Actively produce labor forecasting for both individual reports and project team members.

Ensure that the right interfaces and actions are both planned and implemented between the Senior Project Engineer/analysis group and other groups including lighting and water solutions, M&V, construction, design, commissioning, and operations and maintenance.

Help to identify logical career path for Analysis team members for growth (or develop in place) including generalists (Senior Project Engineer candidates), specialists (analysis focus) and leaders (future management candidates).

Develop and maintain standards (M&Ps) for the engineering/analysis functions and activities.

Work with engineering/analysis team to standardize analysis tools for enhanced consistency and accuracy of calculations and evaluations across projects, and to streamline peer and management reviews.

Work with construction group to develop and maintain a database of measure unit cost estimates based on recent projects.

Lead teams of energy and design engineers in RFP Responses and Investment Grade Audits Support Sales organization in prospecting new and existing clients, support on-site meetings, participate in sales presentations, and develop technical write-ups for competitive proposals.

Support Construction and M&V during implementation and performance phases of ESPCs and UESCs for scope modifications that result in changes to energy and cost savings.

Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering preferred PE License preferred
At least 10 years developing ESPCs and UESCs Strong organizational, technical writing and verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS Office including Word, and Excel Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem solving skills High level of attention to detail
Pay Range:
– $126,000 Annually
