Manager, Industry Research – Energy & Maritime

Crowley

This is a Full-time position in Loveland, CO posted September 14, 2021.

Responsible for facilitating the development and execution of strategic/business development goals and objectives through developing plans to achieve growth and financial profitability.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as an expert on the company’s product and services portfolio.

Leads the research, collection and analysis of data regarding new and existing market segments, customers and trends.

Evaluates and manages new business and acquisition opportunities.

Establishes relationships with potential clients and connects clients with appropriate sales personnel.

Prepares bids, contract proposals and/or request for proposals.

Serves as a liaison with customers, vendors and other internal business partners.

Administers assigned budget(s) and maintains statistical records for forecasting, analysis and reporting.

Assists with development, enhancement and implementation of policies and procedures.

May supervise staff and be accountable for performance management responsibilities.

Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience equal to four (4) years.

EXPERIENCE: 5
– 8 years of logistics, business development, sales and/or market analysis experience in energy, maritime, transportation and/or logistics industries.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment.

Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.

Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives.

Ability to develop and implement a successful marketing plan/strategy.

Ability to identify trends and predict their impact on the organization.

Ability to train and supervise employees.

Ability to manage employee and client relationships to achieve specific goals for generating and maintaining sales of products and services.

Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration as well as the ability to execute contracts in compliance with corporate guidelines.

Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology.

Knowledge of marketing research techniques and tools.
