Job Description

As a Business Development and Marketing Manager at Ascend, you will drive sales, business development, and marketing activities, interacting with Software Services and Consulting to promote the accomplishments and value-added unique capabilities of Ascend software relative to the competition.

Job Responsibilities

· Manage and run recurring webinar engagements, email marketing campaigns, and customer outreach

· Develop and deploy marketing materials, initiatives, and events to promote software sales in the US with primary marketing responsibilities:

o Lead development of customer/prospecting events such as conferences, seminars, and webinars

o Develop materials for the mass marketing channels and specific events

o Manage lead tracking and yield from marketing activities

· Negotiate and successfully close contracts for Ascend’s Valuation and Market Intelligence Services

· Develop and maintain key customer relationships through internal CRM platforms

· Lead development of case studies of software applications

· Develop presentation materials and proposals

· Identify and prospect renewable energy asset owners and operators

· Effectively communicate relative advantages of AI driven forecasting and trading strategies

· Manage presentations of analytic software solutions to support battery storage valuation, power supply planning, and operations in a highly proficient and professional manner

· Attend conferences and marketing events

· Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning

· Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the products

· Manage lead tracking and yield from marketing activities

Required Skills & Knowledge

· Two years of business development, sales, or marketing experience with a strong record of success, preferably in the energy sector

· Excellent oral and written communication skills to interpret complex analytic solutions into value propositions

· Ability to develop collateral materials that concisely translate the distinguishing factors of our services

· Interest in transacting on the leading edge of quantitative energy analysis

· Bachelor’s degree or higher

· Excellent writing ability

· Professional presentation; unjaded attitude; passion for renewables

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

· Proven business development and marketing experience in the area of renewables and energy storage

· Prior experience formulating and executing on marketing campaigns

· Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in large energy companies and to cultivate those relationships

· Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in STEM-related studies; advanced degree (especially MBA) a plus

· Ability to prioritize and act independently within a rapidly growing, dynamic organization

Compensation

Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
