Pilgrim’s is headquartered in beautiful Greeley, Colorado, at the JBS USA corporate office where our 1,200 employees enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine a year.This consumer innovation marketing position focuses on driving branded innovation efforts within the Prepared Foods
– Retail business unit delivering products grounded in consumer insights while advancing Pilgrim’s branded product portfolio facilitating the “Right to Win” across a rolling 3-year time frame.

Responsible for the consumer product management and commercialization of a portfolio of product options within the Innovation Pipeline in balance with meeting the financial key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Prepared Foods business unit, this person leads, collaborates, and influences cross-functionally working closely with Category Marketing, R&D, Culinary, Brand and Customer Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.Responsibilities: Responsible for extending a consumer branded portfolio of concepts, including flavor, format, and packaging, across the retail consumer space, accounting for internal growth and mix strategy dynamics balanced with meeting consumer need states, shopping occasions, and consumer pathways to consumptionHelps build and champion an insights & innovation culture within the organization, championing the voice of the consumerDevelops and executes annual assigned channel innovation plans in partnership with sales, R&D, and Business Unit (BU) LeadershipAssesses industry, customer, and consumer trends to stay abreast of competitive landscape and to identify opportunity gaps in the marketplaceLeads cross-functional teams to develop, commercialize, and launch concepts in the Innovation PipelineManages and leads qualified new product development projects from Market Landscape Assessment through Commercialization and Post Launch Optimization stages accountable for initial new product forecasting, pricing, and pro forma profit & loss statements working with Category Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and R&DProvides support in the tracking and reporting against innovation goals and objectives (KPIs) back into the broader organizationCollaborates with internal Innovation Insights as well as with research vendors/partners to design and to execute market research studies; uncovers meaningful insights and implicationsCreates and qualifies concepts that align with brand plans and product development guidelines, innovation platforms, and business prioritiesPartners with Sales and Customer Marketing to help “sell in” innovations to key customersProvides insights & presentations to senior leaders, when requiredQualifications:Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive related marketing or business management experience (retail food or CPG preferred)Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferredAbility to travel (25%)Knowledge and experience in Stage-Gate managementExcellent strategic thinking, collaboration, problem solving, teaming, and project execution skillsExperience in business case development and quantitative analytical skillsKeen financial acumen with an appetite for data, P&L experience preferredProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication & presentation skills—verbal and writtenStrong negotiation skillsComfortable working in ambiguityThe applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): eligible after 90 days of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting scheduleBase salary range of $85,000
– $115,000 annually; andThis position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;The Company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
