Senior Scientist/Associate Director, Translational Medicine

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Scientist/Associate Director, Translation Medicine who will contribute to identifying and developing translational biomarkers for our programs in Immuno-inflammation and Immuno-Oncology.

This role will report to the Executive Director, Research, and be a part of a collaborative and invigorating team located in New Haven, CT.

Responsibilities Dedicated to the biomarker and translational efforts for Celldex development programs in Immuno-inflammation and Immuno-Oncology.

Help define and implement appropriate biomarker/diagnostics strategies for new studies.

Work cross-functionally within Celldex to execute biomarker and translational study plans.

Work closely with the Research, Clinical Science, Clinical Operations and broader teams to contribute to the overall development strategy for the Celldex portfolio and deliver on program milestones by using available preclinical and clinical information to identify appropriate disease indications, designing first-in-human and proof-of-concept studies and engaging consultants/KOLs as appropriate.

Keeping up to date with the state of the art in biomarker methods, analyses and correlative outcomes that could influence Celldex programs.

Participate in R&D and clinical science meetings and provide translational medicine input on strategic plans for research and early development programs.

Work with R&D team to ensure delivery of early stage assets to IND and to develop biomarker plans for phase 1 and proof of concept studies.

Provide R&D updates to Clinical Science and broader teams as appropriate.

Contribute to IND applications, clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, and regulatory filings.

Participate in/contribute to external presentations, including scientific meetings, SIVs and manuscripts Qualifications Significant experience with bioanalytical methods and their application to drug development Hands on experience with large data set analysis Experience mining public biomarker databases Strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to details.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with immune oncology and inflammation space is a plus Good understanding of statistical methods and familiarity with analytical/graphing software (Excel, GraphPad Prism) is a plus MS or PhD in Life Sciences with 3-5 years of experience in bioanalytics/biomarkers in an academic or industry setting.

Experience as a leader in the field with sustained performance and accomplishments.
