Strategic Development Manager (Inventory)

CS Services Supply Chain (SSC) Business Management Team is seeking a leader with deep supply chain experience, strong analytics/data knowledge, Program Management expertise and financial acumen to drive inventory process development and financial flash/budget engagement.

The Business Management team is globally focused with objectives including (i) SSC financial processes (ii) SSC PMO (iii) Strategic Program Management (iv) Executive communications (MBR, QBR, etc), and (v) Analytic modeling

Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques.

Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful.

Provides highly innovative solutions.

Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization?s long-term goals and objectives.

May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams.

Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.

Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction.

Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

Responsibilities:
Drives creation of CS SSC Inventory Budget, ensuring alignment with internal and external partnersEstablishes process structure and mentors CS SSC theater inventory leads across the entire span of Budget creation and Flash processesEstablishes strong working relationship with and influences key partners (finance, CS SSC and forward SC leadership) through executive narrative, strong analytics and clarity of process in budget/flashEstablishes global metrics of business performance and recommends go-forward strategy to address performance gaps.Responsible for evolution of supporting tools/models and creation of dashboards for SSC Inventory metrics and budget/flashInterlocks and supports End to End Planning tool implementation in both metrics evolution and financial processesDevelops strong relationship with key stakeholders, facilitates input/priority to drive decisionsIndependently structures analytical approaches and develops project strategies by applying advanced, in
– depth supply chain and industry knowledge.Consults with business executives on a wide range of high-level supply chain issues, including risk management and new growth opportunities.Interprets data to create new processes, strategies, and tools to be used for supply chain business objectives.Owns complex strategic supply chain projects from planning through to execution and provides findings resulting from project execution.Creates new frameworks for delivery and contributes to tools, templates, and intellectual capital.Program Management accountability for overall SSC inventory operations and strategy, inclusive of process, metrics, and integration to strategic programs
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.Typically 10+ years of experience in a supply chain function; direct experience with advanced planning systems or inventory planning tools preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
Business and Financial Acumen, knowledge of HP financial process and services supply chain are an advantage.Strong leadership skills in coaching, team building, conflict resolution and managementFlexible, able to work with a wide variety of personalitiesExtensive knowledge of research methodology for the most challenging business issues.Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.Problem Solving, approaches problems in a rational manner using sound data driven strategies that ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolution.Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches and insights.Extensive knowledge and ability to analyze business problems using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills at executive and peer level.Excellent program management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.Ability to lead multiple, large, time sensitive projects or work streams.
