Territory Manager, Production – Midwest

This is a Full-time position in Fort Collins, CO posted September 16, 2021.

Parnell is veterinary pharmaceutical company founded in Australia over 50 years ago.

The company has grown rapidly through global expansion and launching its suite of premium fertility brands, GONAbreed and estroPLAN in 2013 and more recently mySYNCH, a free software program that assists Dairymen with live monitoring of their fertility program.

The production animal division has consistently outgrown the market and in the last three years enjoyed double digit growth.

Parnell has a strong culture for customer service and more importantly customer success.
This hybrid role reports to the Production Animal VP of Sales and Marketing and it encompasses sales and technical clinical support on fertility management to veterinarians, dairy producers, and other allied animal health providers through mySYNCH and its exciting new module called the Fertility 360 program.

The successful candidate would ideally have practical sales experience and is someone that consistently exceeds their targets.

You also have a deep knowledge of dairy and/or beef reproduction, as well as awareness of the current best practice associated with cow comfort, nutrition, and transition cow management as a bonus.

Location: The successful candidate would ideally be based between Fort Collins, CO and Garden City, KS.

Travel: Location dependent but generally up to 50%

Responsibilities
Develop and foster productive long-term business relationships with Key Accounts Sell Parnell brands and software services to Veterinarians and Dairy Producers; including reproductive drugs and digital technology tools that drive customer success.

Work in close partnership with Key Accounts and industry Key Opinion Leaders to grow their business and achieve Parnells Sales and Marketing objectives Provide training for customers and their staff to further develop their knowledge and technical skills around reproduction and herd management Use the company CRM tool daily recording all customer interactions and review company reports to manage the territory in a routine and diligent fashion Develop and execute the sales and marketing strategy through your own business plans including fastidious management of company funds.

Provide market insights to Marketing and Operations on competitor activity and assist with strategic and tactical account decisions.

Attend weekly sales and marketing meetings, and quarterly cycle meeting for company updates and training.

Produce sales forecasts for individual Key Account territory during business planning Routine travel with some overnight requirements expected of up to 2-3 nights away during scheduled travel weeks Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations Are professional and timely with all matters of business for customers (internal and external)

Skills & Attributes

5+ years dairy or beef industry sales experience in a senior role
Adept at prospecting to arrange meetings with potential customers Educational Degree in Animal related discipline or life science a benefit Knowledge of bovine reproduction is a strong benefit as well as understanding of heard management software such as DC 305 Strong business acumen, organizational and analytical skills.

Results focused Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint highly regarded Demonstrated understanding of effective selling and listening techniques Driven to achieve results and relishes a challenge loves being part of a high performing team and winning culture Persistent and curious with a strong work ethic to get the job done.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presenting to groups Self-motivated and determined, able to work autonomously when required.

Must have a current driver license to travel throughout the USA as required

The competitive remuneration package includes the following:

Base Salary: negotiated on experience
Paid Time Off: 41 days PTO each year (22 x Vacation, 10 x Personal, 9 x Public Holidays)
Car Allowance: $10,000 per year (fuel paid by Parnell)

Quarterly Bonus: 10% of base salary
